Artist Study - Research with Vocabulary Bundle

These artist research assignments were designed for students to demonstrate their independent research skills while reinforcing their knowledge of the Elements of Art and Principles of Design.

Students are asked to research basic background information about an assigned artist, select a piece of their work and identify the Element of Art and Principle of Design in the piece. Also included is the Artist Compare & Contrast Worksheet.

I use these worksheets as a weekly research assignment, but this could also be a great substitute assignment if your students have access to technology. Included are two versions, for artwork that is formatted in both landscape and portrait view.

This bundle includes a comprehensive list of 100 Artist, grouped by time period, which can be printed, cut and assigned to students through a random basket pick process AND 3 Part Vocabulary cards for review of the Elements of Art and Principles of Design.
