FOODIE FRIDAY is where students get the opportunity to show off their cooking skills by presenting their favorite recipe to the class. The goal is for students to teach the class culinary skills and then everyone gets a taste of the final product. In my class is what we do every Friday. Calming Mindfulness Meditation Script for Testing (2-3 minutes)
Our school counselors have asked us to do mediation with student's before STAR testing, so this is the script I developed to use with students. The language seems best fitted for middle school or high school students, but could easily be adapted for elementary as well. Vocabulary Script
I generally use this script for small groups. On the activity is a vocabulary bank for the words used in the script. I usually assign 8-10 vocabulary words (used correctly) to be written into the dialogue. It is a fun activity that helps each students review their vocabulary words in my Civics and History classes. It can be edited to add more spaces for vocabulary or change the name on the Film clapper. This is a great tool for reviewing vocabulary.
