Invasive Species Creature Feature: The Lionfish!
This is a really interesting lesson plan that focuses on the topic of invasive species and their impact on the coral reef environment. This lesson plan is a spring board for a number of other very useful and related topics centering around other ecosystems, robotics, symbiotic relationships and other types of invasive species. My Planet-Galaxy Project
Students create their own planet, and additionally as part of this project, create names for their planet's galaxy, constellations, moons, etc. in order to demonstrate mastery of various space terms as outlined in the resource, and as I explain in the video. My gifted class loved this, although I would and could do this with any class.
