My Planet-Galaxy Project
Students create their own planet, and additionally as part of this project, create names for their planet's galaxy, constellations, moons, etc. in order to demonstrate mastery of various space terms as outlined in the resource, and as I explain in the video. My gifted class loved this, although I would and could do this with any class.

Sky Science - Introductory Video Research Assignment
Here is a wonderful introductory activity for the Sky Science Unit. Students will follow a link to a website which has a variety of videos about the topic. Students choose several videos to watch and type in jot notes as they learn. They can work individually or in groups! Students have the option to share their most interesting fact at the end!
