Give your students the opportunity to both learn about stories from Ovid's Metamorphoses and give them a chance to spread their wings and show their creativity. This project encourages them to use their imaginations to re-tell a chosen story from the "Metamorphoses" via song, art, video, creative writing - the options are only limited by your students' imaginations!

I use the board game project as a final exam substitute but it is infinitely adaptable to content and scope.
It asks students to create a question and answer trivia game whose categories are from the content of the course.
Included are the full project with a detailed rubric that can be used as is or modified to suit.

Latin Valentines Project
Want to incorporate a little Latin composition into your classroom but keep it fun? This project invites your students to research a chosen pair from Ovid's "Metamorphoses", write a basic cinquain poem about them (you can choose the grammar point you want to practice), design a creative Valentine card, as well as write a love letter to demonstrate their knowledge of the myth. Can be used in traditional or online classroom environments, set as an independent work project.

Rhetoric Project
Originally written for a Latin class, this project can be adapted to any unit on rhetoric. It asks students to analyze the rhetoric of a speech of their choosing and to find rhetorical figures in pop culture.
