Thanksgiving Fraction & Decimal Task
In this activity, students are required to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions. They then are required to create either a Google Slides to show creativity or complete it on a poster board. This includes a rubric. Then, students are given the shopping list. They have to answer ten easy questions which involves decimal operations and unit rate! This is a great task for those 2-3 days before Thanksgiving!

Fraction Flowers (Percent, Decimal, and Fraction Conversions)
This math activity integrates both math and art. Students create a "fraction flower," with a fraction (in simplest form) as the flower's center. On the surrounding petals, students find three different equivalent fractions and both the percent and decimal conversion of the center fraction. Although it is an easy art project, it covers multiple state standards. It looks great on the wall for Back to School Nights or Open Houses!

I’ve attached 3 different variations for this activity. I used it with my 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classes. Each project is a little more difficult than the last. I decided to include all of them so that you can select which activity best fits the needs of your students OR you can pick and choose.
