Once they make their choice, they must explain why they made their decision. I usually give them an index card with an amount and then write their rent, utilities, car, etc. on it and ask them to make the deductions. You can also give them one amount to save time.

Students are given information about a regular Toyota Camry and Hybrid Toyota Camry (MPG, price, etc).
