Description

This project is designed for 4th-6th graders who need practice adding and subtracting decimals.

Students will create a menu for a restaurant they’ve created. The menu will feature appetizers, main courses, desserts, beverages, and more. Each item will have a price listed and no two prices should be the same.

Once the menu is created, students will need to create orders for 2 people, a family of 5 people, and a group of 9 people. Work should be included. (You could differentiate this project by changing the number of people for an order or adding rules they need to follow for each order)

Students will have fun creating a fictitious restaurant, selecting menu items, and designing what the menu will look like.

I’ve included the editable word document with directions and how students will be graded.

**I've added pictures of sample menus and ways students have organized their orders. Students love seeing sample menus so feel free to show them the ones I've included and try to save some of the good ones to show next year! Also I would give them suggestions on how to organize their orders- especially the one for 9 people. My students have used tables, guest check images from online, etc. I have samples included. Enjoy!**
