May There Always Be Sunshine - Music Composition/ Art/ Literacy Lesson
This Kindergarten lesson uses the Russian Folk song "May There Always Be Sunshine" to give students the opportunity to create a book (and compose a song) through writing & illustrating verses of the song that they create. Students will get to compose, illustrate, write, and create in this cross-curricular lesson plan! Includes the book coversheet & blank "May There Always Be.." sheets that they will use to create their own verses.
Down by the Bay Book
After singing the down by the bay song, students will work on rhyming as they finish there own Down by the Bay Book. They will need to read the simple text and choose a rhyme to finish it.

Homemade Instrument Scavenger Hunt *Distance Learning*
Students are given 8 options for making various homemade instruments. They are to refer to the “Materials Needed” section in the table to see how many household supplies they have. Based on what they can find they are to try and create as many instruments as they can without instructions. This allows them creative freedom to make the instrument their own. After they have made their instrument(s), they are to use their instrument(s) to try one (or both) of the two activities listed at the bottom

Winter has arrived & it's time for a wonderful Winter lessons! Common Music Terms, Creativity and Seasonal topics are features of this wonderful Winter lesson. Composing With Found Sounds- in-class or remote learning compatible!
This is a super fun first composing project for Pre-K, Kinder, 1st or an out-of-the-box songwriting idea for any grade that likes to get creative with making sounds! This could also be a great addition to a unit on the Science of Sound to show how different things in the world make sounds/identify the vibration, resonator, amplifiers of sounds.Students find and play sounds from their voices, from objects in the music room (or at home), and instruments (in the music room or at home if applicable)

The Princesses' Egg- a play for and by pre-school and K Children
This is a play written by myself and the children in my drama club at the Montessori school where I work.It has a royal family, castle guards, dragons, wizards and fairys . It is a play for 16 children ages 3-6 to practice and perform. We wrote the script, made up the songs, painted the scenery, decided what props to use, and used dress up clothes for our costumes.It was the best play we have done so far in the 7 years we've been performing.It's a stitch!
