Student Non-Fiction Book Publishing Rubric
I used this rubric for my students when they created non-fiction books about the Native American Tribes. Students folded 3-4 sheets of white paper in half, bound it with staples, and then filled it in with the required content. This project incorporated our social studies content while reinforcing writing skills and identifying, using, and creating text features. Letter/Sight Word Ring
I copy this on card stock,cut out, add a ring and a blank card on top to write the students name. I keep them on a bulletin board with pins to hang them from. I have each letter/word in a small baggie so it is easy access. Each student has a letter or word ring. I put on letters/words the student knows and one letter/word the student doesn't know.
