Famous Mathematician Facebook Project
This is a great 21st Century/Technology Filled End of the Year (or long break) Project!
**I have used this with 6th to 9th graders! I am sure high schoolers would enjoy this project as well!**
Students are to create an imitation Facebook (Mathbook) of a Famous Mathematician. Included is a word document "Mathbook" template for students to use. If you have trouble with the document play around with the margins on the top of the word document.

Linear Programming-Profit Maximization Project (Systems of Linear Inequalities)
Students will first examine a model company working to maximize profits within certain supply, demand and cost constraints. They will then create their own company and their own constraints. They will find the solutions to a systems of linear functions in order to maximize their own profits.

Students must create and graph ten different functions with transformations based on the following parent functions - linear, quadratic, absolute value. Restrictions on transformations are required. Students learn about the global treasure hunt called Geocaching in the intro PowerPoint. The project has them build and hide caches on campus, and log their coordinates using several GPS devices that I have gathered through the years (I started with only 1 the first year).

Bridge Building Project
You and your team of engineers have been given the challenge of designing a bridge using any combination of the following building materials (dowel rods, popsicle sticks, toothpicks, flexible straws, string, and hot glue). TAILS Method of Graphing Grading Rubric
This is a grading rubric to keep students on track when setting up graphs of any type. Since we all know that graphing is 90% the set up and 10 % the actual plotting of data.
