Blank Math Lesson Worksheet (for use with Saxon Math lessons)
This includes a set of blank lesson sheets for use with Saxon Math books 5/4 all the way through Algebra 1/2. The lesson grid is 1/2 cm squares. Climb the Factor Stairs to Primes and GCF
Delia Benn has used this visual model very successfully with students from 4th through 8th grade to understand and find prime factors, greatest common factor, least common multiple and to simplify fractions. Calculating change
This is a life skills math activity that requires the use of play money (dollars and change). Students will count out the beginning amount into their wallet (we used a box drawn on the desk). From that amount they are to give the cashier exact change for the products purchased. Finally, they will count the money remaining in their wallet and record the amount on the worksheet.
This may require students to exchange bills for coins or large bills for smaller, depending on how they count out
