Cookie Jar Measurement & Fraction Gift Project
This Cookie Jar Measurement and Fraction Gift project is a great way for upper elementary students to have some hands-on experience using fractions and measurements with a real world activity. Students are given the task of making a gift of dry cookie ingredients for Chewy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies to give to a loved one (attached are the rest of the directions to finish off the cookies at home). Equivalent Fractions Sugar Cookie-Baking for Valentine's Day!
This activity requires students to work in teams to convert simple fractions so that they can determine the recipe for sugar cookies.
