Sewing a Button Tutorial and Video
This is a step by step photo tutorial that will guide students through the process of sewing a 4-hole button. Apollo 13 is an iconic movie that I always used to introduce problem solving. The best scene for this is when the engineers attempt to fix the aircraft by creating a new filter. Depending on how they choose to use their voices with rate, inflection, volume, pauses, etc., the meaning of the scene changes. Six sample scenes are included for students practice. I created this poster in Microsoft Publisher. The final copy has been saved as a PDF on 9 separate pages. Print out the PDF and put your poster together.
Poster - 24 inches by 30 inches (9 pages). You will cut the pages down and tape them together to make a nice poster. You can also have your poster laminated to make it last longer. That's what I do in my classroom. Then you can reuse the posters year after year.
