Teaching multiple Perspectives in social studies? For years I struggled with teaching multiple perspectives in an engaging way. I created this resource as a way for students to understand multiple perspectives on current issues. When doing this lesson you will have to find an issue with multiple perspectives. Not sure why thumbnails look off... this assignment focuses on the 15 cases that are part of the APGOPO redesign. It's pretty simple, I have the kids do most of the creative work! However, I have learned I need to have SPECIFIC directions for them to create valuable movies, which is why the directions included are so detailed. Introductory Paper- State of the Nation
I Use this with my 12th grade AP Economics classes usually the first week of school.This would also work great with any AP or Honors Government or Civics class.Great tool to bring up some good discussions for an icebreaker activity. Also works well as an assessment tool for their writing skills. Great for getting to know your students and for them to know you as well since usually I'm at least semi-involved in the discussion as well.
