When I was looking to have my students create Bloom ball book reports I could not find any with the questions already in the circle. I also couldn't find any that would allow me to type my questions inside the circle. So, I decided to create my own. I thought others might be going through the same so I decided to make it available in TPT for free.

Beginning of the Year Activity - Name Glyph
This document provides directions for students to follow as a beginning of the year activity. After completing the activity, students can exchange drawings and write and short essay about the other student from what they learn through the drawing. Students enjoy this activity and the pictures can be used for open house as a visual for parents. This is a really good ice-breaker activity that also allows you time to get the beginning of the year paperwork completed.

The Raven by Edgar Alan Poe
This is a fun small group activity that can be used in grades 8 through 12. This is an assignment that requires deep thinking and that the students actually enjoy. I usually introduce this activity in October to set the Halloween theme. Divide the class up into small groups of a minimum of 2 students but no more than 4 students. Give each group one of more verses of Edgar Alan Poe’s poem The Raven. Have the students totally and thoroughly translate the verse(s) into today’s modern language.

Letter to Favorite Teacher (An End of year activity)
This is a great end of the year activity. Have students (especially those who are ending their last year at that school) write a letter to their favorite teacher or staff member. Once students have typed or written their letters, they can choose to hand deliver it to that person, or the teacher can give it to them. I have gotten so many thank-you's from people with this activity. We don't hear enough about how we've helped students, and this is a great way to do it!
