Biography in a Box Project
I use this letter before starting Black History Month. Each child picks a famous Black American and researches him/her. Then each child creates a box that represents their famous person and adds items inside to present to their class.
I partner with the Art Teacher so children can paint portraits of the person they are researching.
Children dress up as their famous person and present their box to the class.
