My 3rd grade students start their day by writing one paragraph about a given topic in preparation for the 3rd Grade Guarantee. In the spirit of black history month I have put together relevant prompts. We use the Hamburger Method for brainstorming our paragraph first. See this YouTube video from Ashley Jones to see how to use the Hamburger Method. I uploaded as a word document so that you can edit the prompts to fit your students or make new new prompts! This can easily be adapted for any season
