Measurements in Cooking
I made this lesson for my high school Life Skills Math class. This class is made includes students with learning disabilities. This lesson begins with common cooking measurement abbreviations. Then, asks students to double a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe. Next, students must figure out how to use only one ingredient for one measuring tool and use each measuring tool only once. This is a fun lesson with an edible reward at the end.

Using the food keys, students can color in the graph for each one of the food groups above. Have students cross off each food after it has been added.
