I created this map booklet for my students to pin point exactly where they live in the world! Complete with a booklet cover, the pages start at their planet, then zoom in to continent, country, state, county, city, street and room. The students can write on the line and color/draw pictures for each page. Editable so that you can change the country, state, county and city/town as needed. This booklet was created originally for Virginia, Richmond specifically, but can be changed to suit where

These are two differentiated worksheets that ask critical thinking questions about natural resources, capital resources, and human resources. They have pictures of a few different occupations that help students visualize the resources being asked about. In my store there is a Smartboard Presentation that explains this all for $1.50. It has clear explanations with many pictures, "Turn and Talk" critical thinking questions that are aligned with the common core, and an interactive drag and match

Do you have a new student? Are your students working on biographies? The "All About Me Gazette" is the perfect way to get students to write about themselves. This is a great tool to use at the beginning of the school year, or any time when students have to write about either themselves or another classmate (using an interview as research). This is also a great way to take students through the writing stages. They will be excited to get to the final publishing stage (this document) when they ar

Historical Figure Report- black history month

In this project, students do a typical research report on a person who contributed to black history. The catch is, there are several people who are off limits for picking. The kids groad everytime they see the list of "off limits" people, but every year we get some really interesting reports about lesser known people.

This is a one page Publisher template. I created it to use during the teaching of the Constitutional Convention, but it could be adapted for almost anything. All text boxes are set up, but of course, you can change anything to suit your needs. The "friends" , "likes", "ads", and "trending" boxes will be great for building understanding of the topic. The map may also be changed out.

Understanding why a date in the 1800s is called the 19th century or why our current century is called the 21st century is confusing for my students. I created this poster in Microsoft Publisher to help my student see the pattern. I started with the first two centuries before jumping to more recent ones. I also included examples of some dates and their corresponding centuries. I left this as a Publisher document rather then a PDF so that a teacher could keep updating the current year. If you n
