I used this during each season with both Special Education students as well as Kindergarten students. They were asked to describe each pictured item and then check the box under which sense would be used. The senses were reviewed in a fun way every season without drilling and it allowed the students to expand their vocabulary as well.

I use this as an introduction to forces for both Physical Science and Physics. For Physics its a quick review to remember some of the common forces and how to calculate the net force, where as physical science it's more involved where I set up a timer and have everyone draw there best airplane! Then we have a student volunteer and draw one on the board. Finally we slowly label the forces.

Atoms: The Building Blocks of the Universe!

This is a group activity that gives students a hands on approach to understanding an atom's structure. Each student after building the atom must identify the element with which the atom is associated. After identifying the element students will give two common uses of the element. This is an activity that is cheap and effective at integrating the arts into sciences. This also teaches students how science is a part of our everyday lives.
