How to Draw a Cartoon Spider allows students to learn to focus on illustrations and show they do have a meaning in informational text without the dependency of the text to explain them. It also gives students the opportunity to follow picture directions without any text. This is a common way of receiving directions, especially when you put an item together; and, this activity allows students to practice reading and comprehending these types of directions. Enjoy!
