This webquest takes students on an interactive tour of Ellis Island. The first 3 pages of the webquest includes guiding focus questions for students to answer as they tour all the rooms of the main building of Ellis Island. I use this hyperdoc in my AP Lit classes during our study of postcolonialism. During this unit, students choose between several books, one of them being Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. This works as a GREAT introduction to the contextual elements that students need to know to fully understand how colonialism and its effects work in the novel.
