MLA Exercise #4: Integrating Quotes Search
This handout covers integrating quotes in writing. This exercise can be used for MLA or APA format, as the principles for integrating quotes are the same. This exercise is similar to a scavenger hunt. In the exercise, students are asked to search the Internet or print sources for integrated quotes of various styles.

My College Exploration & Essay
This assignment provides an excellent website for students to explore colleges which fits their GPA. It will provide them with college facts and a percentage of how likely he/she could be accepted. There are directions and a graphic organizer to write a five paragraph essay on the student's college of choice. There are also directions for peer editing and a final rubric. I use this for my AVID class, and this would be great for any Life Skills type of class.
