Research Paper Outline
This produce is an outline template designed for student use. This shows students how to use facts, instead of just listing them. I have used this outline with grades 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grade.

This is a graphic organizer designed to help students organize their approach to nonfiction texts. Students are exposed to a list of text features, text types, and text structures in order to choose which ones fit the text in front of them. Outlining Informational Text - two practice assignments
Outlining is a powerful tool for cutting through the chaff and getting to the essential information of a text. In these two exercises, students will read a high-quality, extended non-fiction text and then outline its main points. The texts are included, as well as blank outline and answer key filled in outlines. Both articles, as well as providing great practice on this important reading skill, can lead to some great classroom discussions.
