This is a presentation for students to use individually, or as a whole class with the teacher guiding them. This can also be sent home as a homework assignment/project.
They get to watch several videos, one per historical hero, and determine which hero is their favorite. Then they get to complete a two-part assignment. Rubric is included.

Famous People: Native Americans is the first in a series of short focused Research Webquests that I created as a supplement to Wonders 3rd Grade Language Arts Curriculum. The interactive Power Point features links to articles from World Book for Kids about Squanto and Sacagawea. Students choose one of the famous Native Americans to read about. Then, they type (or write) their opinion thanking the person for their contribution to our country.
