Music Integrated Literacy Lesson: Feel the Beat with Tortoise and the Hare
This literacy with music integrated lesson takes around 45 minutes to complete. This is an extension of previous learning about rhythm, beat, and music tempo. The lesson has students singing to the Aesop’s fable: The Tortoise and the Hare's characters according to how fast or slow they are going. This is a great literacy lesson that can incorporate music into your classroom as well as go over morals and sayings such as slow and steady wins the race.

This is a variation of a mystery walker poster. I have it laminated and hanging right by the door, along with a set of popsicle sticks with each student's name.
