This was a great song, however, it was written in English. I asked for permission to translate this song, so here it is! The students learn the process of rounding while having fun!

As a Dual Language teacher, I often find that Spanish resources are limited. I wrote this song to teach students how to add doubles. This is an interactive song that students can act out while singing. Students learn visually how to count doubles and have fun while doing it!

Doubles Song / Doubling Rhyme / Multiplication / Two Times Table
I wrote this rhyme to help second and third-graders memorize their doubles facts. While they often could double 1-5 with ease, they tended to get mixed up with the products of 6, 7, 8 and 9 when multiplied by two. After "singing" this enough times, I could hear my students whispering the lines to themselves when doing computations! Eventually, as with anything that we memorize, they needed to refer to the rhyme less and less, and eventually it was committed to memory.

These lyrics are designed to accompany my song, "Farmer's Market," which was created to help elementary school students with memorizing multiplication facts (namely, skip counting). The graphics can be printed on cardstock and made into a cute little book to use with the song. This is a list of songs from You Tube that I typed up to have as a student script when learning to skip count. This is really useful for teaching multiplication, too! You can download these and use as a center, whole class practice, handout to send home, or sing and dance as a brain break. These could also be laminated and made into a reusable book.
