He builds King Minos a labyrinth and, after it is finished, the king decides to get rid of him. He locks Daedalus and Icarus in the labyrinth that Daedalus made him. Daedalus know the labyrinth well and he and his son escape. They go into hiding and come up with a plan to get away from the island where King Minos lives.
