Han Christian Andersen's The Little Match Girl Stage Play
This is a dramatic adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's short story, The Little Match Girl. It is a faithful rendition with a harsh reality and a possibly unhappy ending. Two-Step Equations Magic Square
The attached activity is a 5x5 magic square that requires students to solve two-step algebraic equations. When solved correctly, each row and column will add up to the number 65. In my teaching experiences, I have found that students are more motivated to solve magic squares over traditional worksheets because there is a final "solution" similar to a Sudoku puzzle.
