Charlotte's Web of Dictionary Skills
These materials present Dictionary Skills using the topic of "pigs" from Charlotte's Web by E. B. White.
Each of four pages presents a complete Dictionary entry for "pig," and two of its synonyms ("swine" and "hog."). All About Bats
This tabbed book is intended to be used with the PebbleGo Bats article.
In my classroom, I used this as a project for the students to do during our Reading center time. I had the students listen to the Bats article two times and write the missing words. Then, they cut and pasted the words (that I decided to print on yellow, like an important highlighted word) in the correct places. Finally, they cut out the six pages, stapled them into a book, and colored the pictures.
