Volcano Independent Research Project
This is an activity that I give students at the beginning of my volcano unit. The final product is either a song or a children's book. They have the length of the unit to complete the project. Students are given the rubric at the beginning and then you can use the same rubric to grade them at the end.

This is a great overview of the Permian Period's animal, plant, climate, continental placement and overall place in geological history. Images and information was carefully researched. Kids can use this as a template/exemplar to create their own GEOLOGICAL TRADING CARDS!
