I taught in inner-city settings as well as suburban settings for seventeen years. I earned a Masters of Education degree from Tufts University. I have taught 4-6th grade in a variety of settings and demographics. I am a 20 plus year educator veteran and I love my job!
Based on the diversity of my experiences, I tend to shape my style according to the learner's needs. I have used direct instruction, constructionists, and PBL extensively.
Teacher of the Year 1994 Wesley Elementary Teach for America consultant 1994 Founded student entrepreneurial program that integrates philanthropy with curriculum. Donated over $20,000 to local and national charities including The Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina victims. Developed and led professional development for technology integration in my school district and for outside district PD.
