Engineer the Tallest Tower: Opertions with Integers
This lesson includes an Engineering Design Challenge where students construct the tallest tower possible using a set of materials.
The lesson connects to operations with integers as students connect the items they used to a credit or debt.
Great for the first week of school with a built in getting to know you piece where students interview their engineering design team partner.
Additional practice with integer operations is included.

Plane Shape Geometry Dream House
Geometry project using 2D (plane) shapes and figures. Students will create their dream house and then, design it. Includes Smart Board slides, grid paper, and student handout. Embedded clip is of a dream beach tree house (approximately 3 minutes in length.)
