Capacity Creature
This is a fun activity you would have your class do after learning about Capacity. I include a quick review of the measurements of gallon, quart, pint, and cup. In this it will show your class an example of a Capacity Creature. It gives them the directions to make a Capacity Creature along with a grading rubric at the end to show them how it will be graded. This is a fun project that the kids really enjoyed.

Mrs. Brown Goes to Town is a story about animals who go into a farmer's house and the weight of the animals crash through the upstairs floor. This activity is a teamwork/ Engineering activity. Students are instructed to build a new house for Mrs. Brown and her animals.

You will even have the opportunity for the students to use math by measuring different size eggs. Yes you will have to get your hands on some various types of eggs.
