Managing a Household - Renting an Apartment project

For this project the students are required to pretend they are looking for an apartment to rent.

The project is broken up into 3 parts:

During the first part they are required to choose an apartment in the local newspaper or apartment listing book or website. They must than determine how much money they are required to earn at their job so that they can live in this apartment.

During the second part, they are given a specific salary and told they need to find an apartment affordable under this salary.

In the third section of this project, the students are given a monthly income and told to find an apartment affordable under the living wages.

Worksheet is provided, however, you must find your local newspaper or apartment rent guide and supply it to the classroom.
