Mother's Day Mini Magazine (1/2 page)
This is a Mother's Day Project that is aimed at the older elementary students. This will provide the students an opportunity to create a one of a kind magazine for their mom on Mother's Day. This magazine has opportunities for narrative writing as well as ample places for students to write in complete paragraphs and complete sentences. Providing the teacher with assessment grades, while creating a keepsake for MOM!

Book Study: Monsieur Marceau by Leda Schubert
This is currently on the Texas Bluebonnet List for 2014-15. I read this book to 3rd and 4th graders. After the book we did the mime activity listed in the back of the book, as well as "catching a fish" and "tug o' war".
Next a few children were picked to do short mimes of their own choosing while classmates tried to guess what they were doing. This was kind of like charades!
