My adult English/ESL students in Washington DC really enjoy this winter car survival listening and vocabulary activity. As English learners living in the USA, they find the practical aspect of this activity to be critical to their survival in the USA. The students have a chance to listen, check, review vocabulary, and then listen again for details. They will learn vocabulary terms such as: flashlight, tarp, jumper cables, first aid kit, flares, and much more.

Corresponding worksheets for a middle school class. I left it in Word document form so you can change the composers to suit your classroom lesson. One worksheet has a scramble of the last name, with the first name as a hint.
