Author's Purpose Packet (Persuade, Inform, Entertain)
Six page packet focusing on author's purpose (Persuasive, Informational, and Entertaining).*Three unique and teacher-created writings: one persuasive, one informational, and one entertaining.*Each writing contains three multiple choice questions to test for understanding.*Each writing also has a short answer section requiring students to explain the author's purpose using textual evidence.

A great way to keep up on current agricultural news- students will use this article posted by Delaware Online: Delaware Online - Spotted Lanternfly to read and learn about how the Spotted Lanternfly is now in Northern Delaware. Students will use their graphic organizer to identify concerns with a growing Lanternfly population, read about how to correctly identify a Spotted Lanternfly and more. Great for sub work or just for an informational lesson on invasive species.

There are two worksheets that look the same to students. This is an easy way to differentiate because students will not realize that their paper is different from that of their peers. Great way to have your students delve into their FFA New Horizons magazine while also learning about FFA around the globe. This scavenger hunt challenges students to read through the magazine to answer its questions. Scavenger hunt is based on the Summer 2019 edition of New Horizons.
