Middle Ages Europe Castle/Manor Project - 7th Grade History
Students will create a VISUAL DISPLAY (drawing, model, or Google Slides) of a CASTLE or MANOR in Middle Ages Europe. This project is usually assigned on a Monday and completed by that Friday. Throughout the classroom sessions during the week, we learn about manorial life and specifically look at the social relationships in feudal society. Students have to research a particular person of the Renaissance. A chart is provided for them to complete about their person. Then they have to study and become the expert about that person. During the mixer, they must be that person in a series of speed dates. They must talk about themselves and also take notes on the person they are "dating" for a few minutes. A chart to complete during the mixer is provided as well as a rubric for the whole activity.
