TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching middle schools students for 13 years and adults for almost as long. In addition to classroom teaching, I train teachers in my district in the areas of technology, cooperative learning, and Common Core. I have served on our SST team, school site council, and am the GATE coordinator for my school site. I have been a master teacher for Pepperdine University and California State University, Fullerton.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I maximize the use of technology in my classroom with an emphasis in putting technology into the hands of my students. I enjoy using multi-media sources, combined with primary sources, to engage students and enhance their understanding of complex topics. I hate the "bubble sheet" and believe in expressing learning through writing, writing, writing.
