This lesson is to be done as an introduction to the black death and life in medieval towns. Students should not have prior knowledge on any of the topics in the lesson. They will take an educated guess on what they think the exhibits are and what it tells them about life in medieval towns. Throughout the lesson there is a plague doctor roaming the streets, which helps build suspense, until he finally appears. The students love the build up and suspense of the lesson.
