Magic Glue
This song is great to get some of the wiggles out before a listening activity. Start by passing out imaginary bottles of glue. Have the children "glue" body parts together when instructed by the song. The only way they can come unglued is to hear the magic word "Abracadabra." This is an old camp song. The children will sing the same silly song over and over using different voices. One of their favorite voices (and mine) is the "Opera Singer" voice. I have the children clasp their hands in front of them and sit up straight and sing in their best grown-up voice. It is a riot. A lot of fun to sing when you have just a little bit of time or waiting to go to lunch. Once you learn the song have the children come up with their own voices.
