Math Measurement Project (Design an Amusement Park)
In this real-life math project students will design an amusement park. Students are asked to use formulas for calculating various shapes to design rides, food trucks, ect. Students will need large pieces of graph paper for their layout. They will also be asked to determine various calculations for each item in the amusement park. Lastly, they will write a review or advertisement about their park. Super fun project!

Harry Potter Candy Probability Math Activity
This is a math probability activity for kids to do in partners or small groups. I did it as part of a larger Harry Potter unit, but you could also do it as a stand-alone activity. Kids will be pulling a sample of 20 Fizzing Whizzbees (M&Ms) and recording their data. Then they will make a prediction about the colors of the whole bag based on their sample. They will write their prediction and reasoning and then write about their final results.
