Kid Friendly 6-Traits + 1 Rubric
This is a rubric I created using the language from Northwest Regional Educational. It has the 6 traits, plus 1, in kid friendly language. Kids can sue this to self assess, and then the teacher can use it to grade the student's writing. The language is easy to understand for teachers, students and parents! The rubric is intended for grades 3 to 6.

This is a rubric I created for our creative nonfiction unit in writing. The students score themselves 0-2 on punctuation, grammar, figurative language, & paragraph usage. It's a great tool for them to go back and edit their rough drafts before they publish to a final piece. The teacher fills one out and you can compare results if you'd like. It's also a great sheet for data or if you discuss grades with parents.
