TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have had the pleasure of teaching for ten years. Throughout my years in the classroom, I have taught English Language Arts from grades 2-12. My heart is in upper elementary and I have taught at a Title 1 designated school for the Florida Writing/Reading FSA. My students have always demonstrated success and mastery of the content material.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am your typical type A teacher. If my students cannot figure it out one way, I find another way to reach them. I prefer organization with a twist. My students are taught procedures from day one, making it easier to dive into our rich and creative daily lessons. I do not mind going off script, if it means my kiddos will reach success.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been designated as a "Highly Effective" teacher throughout all my years of teaching. This is the highest classification awarded to educators within my district yearly.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education, a masters degree in School Guidance Counseling, a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling, and a certificate in Sociology.
