I use this rubric with my other product "Group Presentation Grading Template." The Grading Template only represents 70% of a student's grade. The other 30% comes from their peers. I give each student in my class one of these and they use the rubric to grade each of their group members.

An editable word study matrix for weekly homework in a word study notebook. The students choose 3 in a row to complete with their personal words and grade their own work on a student rubric before turning it in. I have included several different ones with different activities - some have visual directions. There is one page specifically made for homophones. Some activities include technology opportunities, while others are done straight into the journal. I made this for 5th graders.

Often students do not completely understand what a rubric is assessing or how to use it when creating their original piece of writing. This rubric is student friendly and can be adapted to all different types of writing styles. It is currently formatted for Research because that is what we are currently working on in class. I have modified this rubric and used it for projects, or the kids have graded each other using it as well. ENJOY!

Each 8.5 x 11 page lists a stage of the learning process and can be used to help students verbalize where they are. The stages are based on the class theme I used last year of "Blooming Where I'm Planted" where scholars were expected to focus on their growth based on who they were and avoiding comparisons to others. The four stages are seed, sprout, seedling, and full bloom. Each sheet includes the name of the stage, a picture, a description of the stage written in first person and a simplifie

Students research and make a quiz that includes true and false facts about one of the major organ systems. Fellow students must figure out which statements are true and which are not! A graphic organizer is included for their research-- I copy it onto larger paper. A rubric is included for assessment purposes. I am teaching a split grade this year and most of the Grade 5 students were able to do this activity independently while I worked with my Grade 6 students.
