Does the Moon Have Gravity?: Problem-Based Learning Measurement Activity
This is a problem-based differentiated learning lesson in which students will spend roughly two class periods investigating the rumor that there is no gravity on the moon.
They will complete this activity by moon-bouncing, measuring their bounces, adding up the lengths, converting the measurements, and then using multiplication to investigate gravity on the moon (advanced group) OR re-measure and compare the measurements to metric centimeters (less advanced group).
