Heat Treating of Steel
This presentation identifies and explains the 4 heat treatments of steel, annealing, tempering, normalizing, and hardening, while also briefly explaining the purpose of stress relieving. There is a link to a video I made on the last slide. In the video I demonstrate the tempering of steel with an oxyfuel torch, I demonstrate quenching, and also annealing. You can use the video in addition to these slides, or edit them as you see fit.
