Finding the Missing Dimensions: L-Shaped Polygons - FREE
Students often struggle computing the correct values of Perimeter and Area L-Shaped Polygons since all the sides are NOT given. The student must translate distances and compute the missing side.

Using the Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards, I have created the standards in an "I can" format that is child friendly. It has colorful clip art that can be easily displayed during center time to keep teachers and students on-track. Protractors: Identifying and Reading Angles (FREE)
These simple sheets are practice sheets for beginning use of protractors. The methodology requires the student to FIRST identify the angle type (acute, obtuse, right or straight). Then, read the measure of the angle. The teacher should require students to reflect, "Does your angle type match the actual measure of the angle?" This step requires students to ascertain if their measurement is in line with the angle type and attempts to prevent misreading the protractor. FREE RESOURCE.
